ECB collected works
Databases: ECB has compiled a list of web-based resources where information on health and environmental effects of chemicals can be retrieved. Information on several databases (including collection of databases) is provided.

Datasets: Data sets are available for the following: developmental toxicity, endocrine disruptor, chromosomal aberrations, and tropospheric degradation.

At the same website it is possible to consult the EINECS EC Chemical Inventories: the chemicals included in the EINECS list can be downloaded by the ECB Website upon completion of a registration form

ECOTOX databases

US EPA-OPP (United States Environment Protection Agency, Office of Pesticide Programs)

HSDB - Hazardous Substances Data Bank

Distributed Structure-Searchable Toxicity (DSSTox) Database Network is a project of EPA's Computational Toxicology Program, helping to build a public data foundation for improved structure-activity and predictive toxicology capabilities. The DSSTox website provides a public forum for publishing downloadable, standardized chemical structure files associated with toxicity data

The QSAR and Modeling Society provides several resources about databases, software, supercomputing centers, web services

The FOOTPRINT Pesticide Properties Database (FOOTPRINT PPDB) is a comprehensive relational database of pesticide physicochemical and ecotoxicological data. The database has been developed by the Agriculture & Environment Research Unit (AERU) at the University of Hertfordshire, as part of the EU-funded FOOTPRINT project. The new database is a revised and greatly expanded version of the database that originally accompanied the EMA (Environmental Management for Agriculture) software used in the UK. The database will be integrated in the FOOTPRINT pesticide risk assessment and management tools (the 'FOOT tools').

The RCSB PDB provides a variety of tools and resources for studying the structures of biological macromolecules and their relationships to sequence, function, and disease. The RCSB is a member of the wwPDB whose mission is to ensure that the PDB archive remains an international resource with uniform data. This site offers tools for browsing, searching, and reporting that utilize the data resulting from ongoing efforts to create a more consistent and comprehensive archive.

EDKB database on endocrine disruptors. The ORACLE database houses experimental data for about 2000 natural and synthetic compounds. Currently, data are included for biological assays that measure estrogenic and androgenic activity. In the future, data may be added for other pathways affecting endocrine function. These include thyroid and aromatase activity. Experimental data measuring estrogenic endpoints includes in vitro assays for estrogen receptor competitive binding affinity, cell proliferation, and reporter-gene assays, and in vivo assays for uterotrophic activity (i.e., uterine weight gain and vaginal cornification). The database also contains a bibliography with some 1200 citations, many of which include abstracts. Where relevant, experimental and bibliographic data are relationally linked.

© 2006 Joint Institute for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition, contains several tools to assess risk for food, databases, research tools.

NuReBase is a bioinformatic database of nuclear receptors. NuReBase contains protein and DNA sequences arranged according to the official nomenclature. In addition, it contains data on endocrine disruptors.
